Bill Paige is a gifted, passionate speaker whose broad appeal is anchored in a depth of life experience that includes 20 years of police and detective work in and around the New York City metropolitan area. In addition, Bill served for 14 years as the associate chaplain at Children’s Village, working with emotionally disturbed boys in the city, as well as 15+ years of senior leadership in Young Life. Bill serves currently as a Special Assistant to the President in Young Life.
His speaking experience includes:
- Numerous month-long assignments at Young Life camp properties where he has spoken to thousands of kids regarding the basics of the Christian faith.
- Frequent engagements at chapel services for both National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, including two opportunities to speak at the NFL Pro Bowl.
- Many motivational talks at high school and college assemblies.
As an ordained minister, Bill brings a wealth of valuable insight in the areas of emotional and behavioral problems among young people and is a certified trainer for “Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.” His communication gifts combined with his life experience and honed insight put him in very high demand as a speaker in this around the world. Bill is married, has two sons and a growing number of grandchildren.
Retired Navy Captain Tom Joyce is a Pastor at Immanuel Bible Church in the shadow of the nation’s capital located in Springfield, Virginia. Raised on Long Island and recruited as a lacrosse player, Tom graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis in 1979. After completing Naval Flight Officer training he was selected to fly the F-14 Tomcat and later graduated from the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) in 1983. Two years later, Tom was selected to fly in some of the scenes in the movie “TOPGUN”. After several operational tours in fighter squadrons Tom reported to Fighter Squadron 111 as Commanding Officer onboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk. Under Tom’s leadership, Fighter Squadron 111 was recognized as the best Fighter Squadron in the Pacific Fleet.
Tom survived the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon, which included his office. He retired in August of 2003 after serving on active duty for more than 25 years. In addition to his bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy; Tom earned a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University and both a Masters in Biblical Studies and a Masters of Divinity from Capital Bible Seminary.
Tom has accumulated over 2200 hours in the F-14A Tomcat, and has made more than 600 aircraft carrier landings. His awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and numerous other unit and individual awards.
Tom and his wife Deshua have four grown children and a granddaughter. They live in northern Virginia. Tom currently serves as Pastor of Discipleship, Family and Next Generation at Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, VA.
