Meet Mike Fitzgerald: Our New North Central Field Representative

We are truly thankful for God giving us such a talented and experienced new Field Representative in Mike. Below is the letter he sent to the constituents in the region for which he will be responsible. In this letter wou can hear in his own words a bit about himself and his heart for ministry. Welcome Mike!

It is my privilege to be the incoming Field Representative for the North Central region of Christian Service Brigade. In early 2022, God started tugging at my heart. He has cleared many hurdles and challenges for this to become a reality and I’m excited to step into this role. My wife, Dorothy, and I have been married for 32 years. She has been very supportive of CSB and my career transition from a Physician, into this new position. We have 4 adult children.

“I cannot express how excited I am to have Mike join our CSB team. It has been a great pleasure to begin our relationship and I look forward to working with Mike in the future.”
Joel W. Fiscus
Director Of Field Staff

MY BACKGROUND IN SERVING MEN AND BOYS

I was a Cub Scout leader up until 2013. I wanted something different for my youngest son, Matthew, something Christ-centered. The previous Regional Field Rep was starting a local Stockade group in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and I joined in as a Ranger. Two years later, my son was ready for Battalion so, in 2015, we began Battalion Unit #8047.  I have served as chairman and captain since then.

I have enjoyed and appreciated all of my time in CSB as a leader/father/fellow believer. I have made many incredible friendships with other men and young men, and it has been an honor to be involved with the organization.

ANSWERING THE CALL

In 2021, the North Central position opened up. Over time, God made it more clear that He was calling me to this, and many potential obstacles were cleared, such that I was able to retire from my prior position this fall and move into this new endeavor.

I have been a medical doctor for over 30 years which, admittedly, has many opportunities for personal ministry, but it is different. I have been a middle school Sunday school teacher and I served on the board for a local homeless shelter. I have also coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball and have experience working with youth.

I hope to meet many of you over the coming months. It is very encouraging to see what God is doing in and with CSB recently and I am excited to see how He will be working through us in the future. There is such a need for inter-generational discipleship within our communities and CSB is well-positioned to foster and strengthen that. I am praying for revival in our land, and it starts with all of us. I am grateful and excited for this opportunity.

Your prayers are also greatly appreciated!

Bright and Keen for Christ,
Mike Fitzgerald
